A couple of months ago, Chinese cameraphone manufacturer Doogee launched the Doogee S90 phone in its home market, which arrives with a modular design allowing users to attach various modules for enhancing the experience.
There’s a magnetic strip on the backside of the Doogee S90 through which users can simply connect the desired accessory. The company has presently introduced a few modules, like Night Vision Digital camera, Power module, Digital Walkie-Talkie, Game module, and the 5G module.
Currently, the Chinese company has added two fresh modules in the list — Projector and 2 Environment. Whereas it’s not yet known how the projector module will work, we anticipate it to be similar to that of Samsung Galaxy Beam wherever it will project a beamer out of the smartphone.
Approaching to the phone’s specs, the Doogee S90 arrives with a 6.18-inch display and is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 4 on top. The smartphone is fueled by MediaTek Helio P60 chipset and the processor is supported by 6GB of RAM and inner storage of 128GB.
The cameraphone comes equipped with a 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel AI dual image sensor option. Since it is a rugged cameraphone, it ships with an IP68 certified body ensuring water and dust resistance. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box and is powered by a 5,050mAh battery.
Doogee Furthermore showcased its modular S90 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, Spain, along with 2 other phones — S70 and S80. The phone is now available for purchase through various online retailers for a starting price of $330.
