UNBOXING

Geotel Amigo arrives with:

non-removable 3000 mAh battery
A screen protector
a micro USB cable
a travel charger
fast start guide

the back of the smartphone is built of metallic with few plastic parts, revealing impressive excellent designed for its price.
It does not feel affordable at all and for the price tag you’ll pay, it’s surely a bargain to have a full metal frame in your hands.

The 5.2” display is 2.5D and has only 720p resolution but actually, this is one of the perfect HD panels I’ve seen on a inexpensive smartphone.
Even the sunlight legibility is decent. The colours of the display are close to Amoled panels and the images are crisp, with good viewing sides and a fully responsive screen if I might add.
All in all a good panel – especially for a phone on this price range.

On the back side of the gadget you will Furthermore discover a fingerprint digital camera which proves to be rather quick.

It can unlock the cameraphone in fewer than 0.3 second with almost 97% success rate however allows be realistic it’s about 0.5s.
It can basically store up to 5 different fingerprints and could recognize them all from 360 degrees, everything that’s a typical nowadays.

Just more than present We’ll find a 5MP front-facing camera with wide angle view and decent images during the working day and very good shots made in the low light condition using front LED flash what is dual colour for far more natural color pictures.
The ambient light scanner and a proximity digital camera are upcoming to it.
It would be Good if we could use fingerprint sensor to deliver selfies but there is no these types of option.
On the right is the LED multi-color notification light. Nice to have it

After it ships to hardware, the Geotel Amigo has few good specifications for its value.
It’s powered by an 8-core MediaTek MTK6753 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz, along with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory with a microSD card dedicated tray so we could use 2 SIMs simultaneously and SD card.
Thanks to a Mali T720 MP3 GPU the gaming performance is decent if you play games like Asphalt 8 on medium graphics.
Still, you must expect some skipped frames but with no significant lag.

The Geotel Amigo is a 4G/LTE telephone with average overall performance after it arrives to LTE networks, achieving common data speeds of 20-30Mbps that definitely offer a decent feeling whenever you use it, along with good functionality in casual use.
It has great GSM/WCDMA/LTE signal reception with flawless handovers and with no dropped calls – during my tests that is.

Geotel runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

There is no bloatware or most unnecessary programs inside, it supports all the classic Nougat features however the UI has been tampered a bit by Geotel and offers several gesture controls like Smart Lock, 5 Fingers Back, Three Fingers Screenshot etc.

Geotel Amigo ships with a 13.0-megapixel main sensor alongside with a 5.0-megapixel scanner and a LED flash with generally acceptable photos as you can look at for yourselves. The camera software is regular of which you will view in most Chinese smartphones, with options for exposure, ISO, white balance, image resolution, HDR, Panorama photographs, video capture etc.

GOOD Shots, AVERAGE VIDEOS However DISAPPOINTING LOW LIGHT PERFORMANCE

Click on the pics for full size.

Here is some close up:

And here is low light image:

And here is image with flash:

It’s quite easy to capture decent photos in daylight conditions, panoramic shots with a helpful assistant that shows the way to do it correctly and the exact same goes for video capture. But when the sun goes down problems appear, this kind of as low ISO, increased digital noise in pics and reduced body rate in videos.

Below is some video samples:

The Geotel Amigo is equipped with a relatively average 3000mAh battery however numbers don’t mean anything in this situation. The gadget ships with an energy efficient cpu and -in general- it performs effectively advertising a full day’s usage with no problems and perhaps a bit extra if you are in a position to be delicate with it.

All in all we have a winner here, a mid-range phone with decent standby times if you’re an average user (6 hours of active screen) however the fact that it doesn’t support some type of quick charging is a bit disappointing. On the other hand it costs just EUR 100!

The audio sound in the loud speaker and 3.5mm audio output is surprisingly good!
Check the sound level:

Conclusion:
Its present value is high quality for a telephone with 3GB of RAM, a fairly strong Mediatek SoC, 32GB of memory, a 5.2 inch HD show and Android 7.0 Nougat with a good sensor.
The phone support both SIM and SD card Therefore you are not limited by the internal space.

Therefore if you such as you can obtain one from HERE
