]]>We already reviewed this Amlogic 922 monster and like you could view the max temp was 71 degree.
Lets look at what will take whenever making the thermal mod.
So initial we require to open the package.
It’s pretty easy – no screws just use few thin tool as guitar pic to remove the backside back.
Then unscrew the board and you’ll look at the Processor metallic cover which contact with the base heat sink with few strange sponge thermal pad.
On the opposite side of CPU cover wee see that the Amlogic 922 was not contacting good.
And like you could look at the heat sink has some nice colors which means that high temps are beeing.
So what we require?
– a copper 20mmx20mmx1.2mm Heatsink https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32685967144.html
– Silicon Thermal Pad 100x100x2mm https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32854208885.html
– Arctic MX-4 thermal compound
Let’s started.
Initial clean the old thermal paste.
We wont use the Processor metal cover so just leave it.
Presently apply a fall of Arctic MX-4 thermal compound on the Amlogic 922.
Then place the copper Thermal pad above it.
Currently cut the Silicon Thermal Pad same size like copper one and apply it above.
We are ready to put the package components alongside.
When we’ve done it’s time to test what we’ve acheived.
let’s run Antutu test.
And presently we see that the temps not exeed 54-56 degree when on stock we had 71 degree max.
So we’ve dome excellent work only for 15min work 🙂
Note: This thermal mod wont increase your Processor score but wont let it to throttlig whenever you play games for example!
If you as our thermal mod please share it with your friends.
