Verizon Wireless could soon announce a “new” Nokia smartphone for its pay as you go buyers. The phone is the Nokia 2V but it is actually a rebranded Nokia 2.1 for the US carrier. The specifications of the phone have surfaced online ahead of its official launch.

The Nokia 2V has a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720 display. It is powered by the Sd 425 processor and paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable memory. Don’t fret, the Nokia 2V, just which includes the Nokia 2.1, is an Android Go smartphone. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) which is designed to work with small technical specs.

There is a single 8MP camera on the rear of the phone and a 5MP camera in front for selfies. There is with no fingerprint scanner or Face Unlock, so you will have to deliver do with a pattern, password or PIN for security. The Nokia 2V sports a 4,000mAh battery, a MicroUSB port with OTG support, Bluetooth 4.2, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

When OnePlus reported that it would update the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T to Android Pie, it came as a big surprise. Both phones unveiled with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, obtained an improve to Android Nougat and then Android Oreo. Most Android manufacturers only stop at two key OS updates what explains why the OnePlus 3/3T having Pie is a massive deal.

The Android Pie update could be hitting both products soon as models operating the newest version of Android have been spotted on Geekbench. The OnePlus 3 was benchmarked a several days ago (January 3) but the Android Pie-running OnePlus 3T was benchmarked on December 27.

At the moment, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T run OxygenOS 5.0.8 what is based on Android 8.0 Oreo. OnePlus canceled the improve to Android 8.1 Oreo in favor of the improve to Pie. The improve to Pie should also bring a fresh security patch when it begins to roll out.

The OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T both have a 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 screen, a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 16MP rear camera. Where they differ is in their cpu – Snapdragon 820 in the OP3 and Sd 821 in the OP3T; their front digital cameras – 8MP for the OP3 and 16MP on the OP3T; and their battery capacities – 3,000mAh against the OnePlus 3T’s 3400mAh battery. The OnePlus 3T Furthermore has a 128GB RAM variant.
