It is a known fact that HUAWEI and HONOR phones introduced after the US ban do not ship with GMS (Google Mobile Services). Rather, they come with the company’s own HMS (HUAWEI Mobile Services).
Even though it presently contains alternatives for almost all the services estimated by Google, they are not yet up to the mark.
Hence, HUAWEI/Honor Android gadgets have become a decent item of hardware with crippled software in international markets. However, there a some ways to install GMS however the methods are not straightforward for a regular customer. Hence, a developer arrived up with an app named Googlefier.
Googlefier is a third-party GMS installer app produced by XDA Senior Member bender_007. This app permits users to install Google Mobile Services on any HUAWEI/HONOR branded smartphones and tablets running EMUI 10 / EMUI 10.1 or lower.
It does not support EMUI 11 as of now. So, if you have already updated your smartphone to the latest variant of Huawei’s Android skin, then you are Sad to say out of luck.
Getting said that, to use this application, all you have to do is download its APK file from the XDA forum thread linked Here and install it like any Android application by turning on allow installation from external sources in security options.
Once installed, launch the Googlefier application by tapping on the appropriate icon. Then, smoothly follow the on-screen instructions and allow permissions whenever prompted.
